An endeavor of such breadth and scope as this cannot be undertaken by one man alone. I'd like to thank those intrepid souls who make it possible to bring this story to you, dear readers.
Dani Indovino is our absolutely indispensable intern. She has contributed to the story and the functioning of both the Worthis Trust and the Jarthen Foundation in highly classified ways. Van Parker is the creative force behind the geography of Elothnin, and the lovely hand-drawn map featured here is his work. Van has also been an invaluable help in sketching out the plot of this immense tale.
Brian Wonch has spent many long hours going over drafts of Jarthen with us. His suggestions regarding the linguistics stylings and tone of the story have deeply enriched it.
Jennie, Arthur, and Tamar, our very (perhaps undeservingly) loyal fanbase of three. But, hey, that's three more than we would have had without you.
It's funny, the subject of today's sermon was nattering. You guys totally natter better than the current interim pastor.
I have to ask: was your consideration of a giant termite queen in any way influenced by Queen Slug-for-a-Butt from Earthworm Jim (my brother watched a lot of excruciatingly mediocre cartoons when we were young)? Because I think the last medium you want to be drawing analogies to is crappy Saturday morning cartoons. Good call.
